Hi mommies & daddies!

wonder had anyone heard of Anne's Baby & Child Clinic located @ 214 Jurong East St 21 #01-433 Singapore 600214?
if yes,
1) how do u find the doctors there (kindly provide names of the doctor too! Thanks!)?
2) how do u find the service?

my DS's 2months old now & needs his Immunisation jabs, planning to get the 6-in-1 for him..
do GPs hv Immunisation & vaccination jabs??
actually wanted to send him to KKH's PCC for his jabs (i delivered there) but was quite unhappy with their service so wanna find other options..one that's good, can be trusted & nearer to my place that i can bring him to if he falls sick too (touch wood!)
Any GOOD PD to recommend in the West area??
needs recommendation ASAP cuz DS needs his jabs liao!

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi Tinklebell,

U can go to polyclinic & have Adriel's vaccinated. It's much much cheaper than KKH. Caleb's 5 in 1 cost $294.70.

Hi Tinklebell,

I bring my kids to Anne's baby too. Anne's baby is quite good, they even send sms reminder for next immuisation jabs. My kids used to see this PD, Singapore Padiatric at Jurong West tel : 65674509, he is very good and detail but charges very ex.

I heard another good one near Chinese Garden MRT, name of clinic is Kizlink.

Hi sherilynn06!
checked the policlinic @ Bukit Batok (think all polyclinics @ the West side are managed by The National Health Group & @ the East side's by SingHealth), Polyclinics under National Health Group hv the 6-in-1 Immunisation but they want me to take everything!!! i calculated & it's almost S$700 & instead of reducing the number of jabs Adriel need to go through, he's actually taking more jabs!!!

i must bring Adriel 4 the Hep B jab @ 1 mth old then i must take up both the 5-in-1 (S$200+) & 6-in-1 (S$300+) Immuniation, if i dun bring Adriel for the Hep B jab (which's not necessary if i opt for the 6-in-1) they won't let me sign up for the 6-in-1 Immunisation!
what kind of logic's that???
so if i're to go to polycinic, it'll cost more than KKH or even PDs & GPs!

Hi Veronica Ng!

that's one great news! Thanks!!
i called up to check their Immunisation charges for 6-in-1 & 5-in-1, i'm quite surprise that her charges are a lot cheaper compared to other PDs, abt the same as GPs..
read abt abt Kidzlink in other threads, tot it's @ CCK?? does it've other branches??

Tinklebell,

How come got to take both 5 in 1 & 6 in 1? They're actually the same is just that the 6 in 1 got extra 1 thing that's y it's called 6 in 1. If u take both 5 in 1 & 6 in 1 then wouldn't it become 11 in 1? I don't understand leh. *scratch head*

If I don't remember wrongly, the Hep B jab is subsidised by government right?

Hi sherilynn06!

me oso scratch head lo..i told her i wanna take the 6-in-1 so my DS no need to go thru so many jabs lo but after wat she told me, my DS need to take more jabs lo! & i need to pay more too..she replied yes, i need to bring DS bak on this mth 4 the 6-in-1 then on that mth 4 the 5-in-1, etc..i ask her how come KKH didn't mention anything then she replied cuz they didn't hv 6-in-1, but if they didn't hv it y they can offer me??? think National Health Group & SingHealth hv some communication breakdown! or maybe got some rivalry gg on???

1 of the forumers juz bought her DD for jab in Apr '07 @ a polyclinic & she told me that she paid for it le..

u mean she paid of both 5 in 1 & 6 in1?! Hmm... I'll try to check ard for u cos the nurse who told u this doesn't make sense to me. Cos I gave birth at KKH too & their immunisation jabs r very expensive that's y I chose to have them in polyclinic.

hi jo,

doesn't sound logical to me too ... i'm wondering if the person who answered ur call is giving u wrong info or not ... btw, one mommy recommended me to a bb doc at jurong point ... (see the "Help! Remus is sick" thread ... kekeke)

Remus went to polyclinic, GP, PD and specialist before. i recommend u stick to a PD for Adriel. The jabs should cost around the same (i checked the prices for both). As for normal assessment and other stuffs like minor ailments, please go PD (i tried all 3) ... reason is that the medication is more suitable for babies ... and the assessments are also more detailed ...

trust me, i tried all (polyclinic, GP, PD and specialist)... i took remus to specialist for his skin problems ... should have done so earlier ... he suffered from eczema for many mths, put cream everyday also not much use ... finally brought him to a specialist and within 2 days his face clear leow ... and u know what, it costed us the same amount as a PD ... wah lau!!

medication is really really important. no matter how friendly the doc, if the medications they carry aren't good, its useless ...

Hi Jeann!
How're u & little Remus? How's sch?

i checked with the nurse there when i brought Adriel for his Jaundice check, the nurse got age 1 so shld be an experienced nurse lo...

i'll bringing him for his jabs @ my family Dr's cuz no need to queue le..6-in-1 abt S$100 5-in-1 abt S$80+ inclusive of consultation charges, usually he doesn't charge for consultation lo

did u get referral when u go to a specialist?? think PD oso consider as Specialist uh..they specialise in Babies & Children
where do u live west side too??
near my block got a GP (Bao Jian Clinic) highly recommended by my mom's fren that he's very good with skin problems too cuz when my mom's fren's grandson contracted the Foot & Mouth Disease, he recovered pretty fast..her whole family went to c this GP whenever they got any skin probs lo
but i still hvn't try out myself yet lo..

i totally agreed with u on the medication part! cuz everytime c Co.Dr oso no use rite? juz to get MC..in the end still gotta go c our own GP for better medication lo! if not how can recover so fast!!
